Resurrection 2011

This weekend has been super busy.. 3 days/nights of bike events, we are all extremely exhausted but it was a fun Easter weekend to be had!

Friday night held the opening event in which was a group ride to the first event ‘King of the hill’ hill sprints up the horrendous Parnell Rise, followed by a gathering at Qubic.

Saturday we had the ‘Criterium’ 3 lap race around Unitec, which was fun except Vida and I only did the rolling start first lap and decided there wasn’t a good downhill/uphill ratio.

The evening consisted of a famous ‘SBC’ booze cruise, which are always slightly dangerous. This one was pretty sweet, there were heaps of riders it was super awesome on account of there was enough carnage to cover the whole weekend!

The final event and the only one we participated in, was the ‘CGK’ 21 alley cat race around the city, riders had to accumulate 21ks over the whole race, by rolling numbers on a dice and riding to the numbered check point that they rolled. Jose did some good maning of the fort, and was a marker at dice rolling station, while Sian and Sarah stood in the freezing cold as clippers at check point 2.

Last but not least we had a closing ceremony hosted by ‘CBTW’ in the basement. Which included the Captain sculling straight whiskey and taking his shirt off!

Here are some shots.
